Dr. Edna Kamau is a lecturer at the University of Nairobi, Department of Clinical Medicine and Therapeutics. She is a CARTA fellow 2017-2020 as she pursues her PhD at the University of Nairobi. She undertook her undergraduate and post-graduate studies at the University of Nairobi, completing her Masters of Medicine in Internal Medicine in 2011. In 2012, she graduated with a post-graduate certificate in public health from the University of Liverpool. In 2013, she undertook a clinical fellowship in Gastroenterology and Hepatology at the University of Capetown, South Africa. Her specialty interests include early gastrointestinal cancer detection and non-alcoholic fatty liver disease.
