Yaw Asante Awuku
received a BSc in Human Biology and MBChB from School of Medical Sciences- Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology and a Postgraduate Certificate in Clinical research and Evidence Based Medicine and Anti- Retroviral Therapy at the Prince Leopold Institute of Tropical Medicine, Antwerp, Belgium.
He is an Associate Professor of Medicine, a Fellow of the West African College of Physicians and the Ghana College of Physicians and Surgeons. He completed a WGO fellowship at the Groote Schuur Hospital, Cape Town, South-Africa. He is currently President of Ghana Association for the Study of Liver and Digestive Diseases (GASLIDD) and the Vice president Hepatitis Society of Ghana.
He is a clinician, a teacher and a researcher.
He is currently Head, Department of Medicine and Therapeutics, School of Medicine, University of Health and Allied Sciences, Ho, Ghana
